Ryker's Realm

Privacy policy

Last updated 19 September 2026.

In short: we keep your account name, your email address, what you do on the realm, and a record of any payments. We never see your payment card details. We do not sell anything about you to anyone.

What we store

  • Your account: account name, email address, and the date you signed up. Your password is never stored — only a cryptographic verifier that cannot be turned back into it.
  • Your characters and progress: the normal game data any World of Warcraft server keeps.
  • IP addresses: recorded when you connect, and kept in server logs, so we can stop abuse and enforce bans.
  • Community activity: forum posts, support tickets, private messages between players, friend lists, and your profile picture, display name and about-me if you set them.
  • Support diagnostics: when you open a ticket the launcher may attach your launcher version, Windows version, game version and whether the memory patch is applied. It never sends file paths or anything else from your PC.
  • Payments: the amount, currency, date, status and the points bought. Card numbers never reach us — they go straight to Stripe.
  • Discord: if you link your Discord account, we store only your Discord user ID, so friends can see whether you are online there. Your Discord username is never shown to other players.

Who else sees it

  • Stripe handles payments and sees what you give their checkout page, including your card details and billing information. See Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare stores and delivers the game files the launcher downloads, so it sees your IP address while downloading. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Google carries our outgoing email (sign-up codes, password resets, ticket notices), because we send it through a Gmail account.
  • Discord, if you choose to link your account there.

That is the whole list. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not run advertising or third-party analytics.

Where it is kept

The realm's databases run on private hardware in the United States. Game files delivered through Cloudflare are public data — the client's own files — and contain nothing about you.

How long we keep it

  • Account and character data: until you ask us to delete it.
  • Server logs with IP addresses: a few months, then overwritten.
  • Payment records: kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after an account is deleted, because we have to be able to show a payment happened.

Your choices

  • See what we hold: email us and we will tell you.
  • Delete your account: email us and we will remove your account, characters, posts, messages and profile. Payment records are kept as above.
  • Correct your email: change it yourself in the launcher, or ask us.
  • Remove your profile picture or about-me: do it in the launcher at any time.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your data. Ask and we will honour them.

Children

Ryker's Realm is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep information about them. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Passwords are stored only as verifiers. The launcher's connection to the realm is encrypted and pinned to our own key, so it cannot be intercepted. No system is perfect, so use a password you do not use elsewhere.
