Patch notes, events and "server's down, brb" posts show up there first. It's also the easiest place to ask a question or find people to run stuff with.
So what is this?
Ryker's Realm is a private WoW server run by fans. It's Wrath of the Lich King (3.3.5a) on AzerothCore, plus a bunch of custom stuff we've built ourselves.
It's free. The launcher, your account and playing all cost nothing, and there's no sub.
We pay for the server, the bandwidth and all the hours out of our own pocket. If you want to chip in, you can grab some Donor Points and spend them in the launcher's shop. Totally optional, and you'll always see what something is and what it costs before you buy it.
Ryker's Realm is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. World of Warcraft and Wrath of the Lich King are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. We're just fans of the game doing this for fun.
Four steps and you're in
No realmlist editing, no patching by hand. The launcher does all that for you.
- Grab the launcher. It's a quick download.
- Make an account right on the sign-in screen. We'll email you a code to confirm, then you pick a password.
- Hit Install. It downloads the whole game and keeps it up to date whenever we push a patch.
- Hit Play. That's it. See you in game.
Wrath, plus our own twist
Under the hood it's AzerothCore running 3.3.5a, and on top of that we keep adding our own stuff: custom races, models, gear and more.
Every zone, dungeon and raid is open to everyone. Nothing's locked behind a paywall, so you get there by playing, not by paying.
- Wrath 3.3.5a, with our custom content baked in.
- Vote Points you can't buy with money.
- Patches come through the launcher, so your game always matches the server.
Free to play, kept alive by players
The launcher, your account and playing are all free. No sub, no trial that runs out, no paying to skip a queue.
The server literally runs out of a house, and we cover the bills ourselves. If you want to help out, you can pick up Donor Points and spend them in the launcher's shop. Everything in there shows its stats and price up front, and a lot of it can be bought with Vote Points instead, which you can't buy with money. More on that over at Donor Points.
